Snow!

The other week we got a little snow storm (that shut down the state for the week....) and one good morning to play out in it.  This was really the first time either one of our kids had seen enough snow to play in and definitely their first time playing in snow.  They had a blast!  Until, that is, they got too wet and cold and then it was very long whiny trek back to the house to get dry.  But they had fun and Levi still talks about "sledding" in the snow.  Since it was their first time out in the snow I brought out the big camera to capture their initial responses to it.  :)

SNOW!! {and sleet, and freezing rain....}

Here in NC we are actually experiencing some snow this morning. The snow started last night and fell all night. Sometime in the early morning {I know because I heard it all night long} the sleet began as well. This morning we are getting a snow/sleet mixture. It is supposed to continue all day long so we'll see what we end up with. Oh yeah, it is supposed to be freezing tonight - not going to help the ice situation.

Cold South!

It has been pretty cold (and wet) down here in North Carolina. Over the weekend we had a "big" snowstorm. It didn't amount to much, unfortunately, but it was still kind of fun. Then we had some very low temps and a little bit of ice to deal with. Here are some pictures from our little snowstorm on Saturday.
