Pictures from Christmas
I realize that these are very late in coming but I just got them off my camera! I have been busy working on pictures for Sharon and Family trying to get them ready to send off. Of course, I didn't take many pictures while we were in MD but I did take a few from Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all from the Camp family!
Hope everyone has safe travels and a wonderful holiday with family and friends! Keep in mind as you go through the hectic next few days that we celebrate Christmas so as to remember Christ's birth.

Christmas Cards.....???
Yep - Christmas cards. I know, it is only October but I have had a lot of time to sit and think about Christmas. As I have spent lots of frustrating time in years past trying to find the perfect card, I have decided that I am going to create my own card.
I am brand new to designing stuff like this so if they all look novice, I apologize! Here are three designs that I have come up with. Please vote on the one that you like. If you have any suggestions or don't like any of them let me know too! You can click on each image to make it bigger.
I'm sorry if this won't be a snail mail surprise for some but I need some feedback (Mike wasn't much help!).

Christmas Tree and Apex Parade
We finally finished decorating our tree on Friday night. Here is the final product: (I think it's pretty cute!)
Saturday night was the Apex Christmas parade in downtown. We missed last year so this was our first time going. It was a cute little parade - ok not little, it was a LONG parade. But it was nice. We were freeeeezzzzzing by the end of it! I didn't take a lot of pictures because it was so dark but here are a few.

Christmas Time is Here!
Thanksgiving is over - NOW we can start the Christmas celebrations. :) Mike and I got some of our decorations up over the weekend - required buying a few things that we didn't have last year. Garland for the mantel and 2 wreaths for our antique windows. The only thing left to get is a tree! We were planning on getting it today but the rain prevented that. No need to get a drenched tree and store it in the garage. Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny and dry and we can got pick one out then. I'll get some pictures up as soon as we do!

Recap of events
Mike and I survived the hussle and bussle of Christmas and all the wedding festivities surrounding the holiday this year. Christmas was very nice and fun exchanging gifts and seeing all of our families. It was a busy day for sure! We did the rounds visiting 3 houses in one day. No breathing time after Christmas - had to get right down to wedding business. Everything was lovely and beautiful. And now we have a very sweet new sister-in-law! I will very soon get some pictures up of all our events. Being a member of the wedding party didn't allow me to take a whole lot of pictures but I did my best.
We got back to North Carolina right before New Years. We had to return to work for December 31st but then had a day off to catch our breath and get back into the swing of things. We had a very nice New Years Eve - hung out with my new co-worker and his adorable new wife. We took the doggie for a nice long walk around Lake Pine on New Years morning and then attacked the Christmas decorations in the afternoon. Mike left for Bay St. Louis Mississippi on Saturday morning for a week. He went down with a team from Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church (our MD church home) through MTW to rebuild homes affected by Hurricane Katrina and to minister to the folks down there. He gets back on Saturday - I already miss him so much! Just me and the doggie for the next few days.
I will try to get some pictures up to give a slideshow of all the recent activities. Hope you all have a good Tuesday afternoon. :)

Time for Christmas!
So it has been a week since I last wrote. This week has been so busy...comes with the time of the year I suppose. We are heading to MD tonight for the coming week and I am nowhere ready even though I have been working as hard as I can on everything. Presents are not wrapped, I am not packed, etc. But I am so excited to have a week off from work even if that week is going to be filled with activities. I am going to have lots of time playing with my new toy this week. I'll be taking pictures of Christmas and all the wedding festivities. I will definitely have to figure out the slideshow feature for that!
We get the long awaited repaired car back today too. Right on schedule...but it has been almost 2 months. It was amazing how much damage that low speed accidents can do to the car. There was so much that needed repaired!
Well, if I am not able to write again before Christmas I hope everyone has a very lovely holiday! In all the gifts, parties, etc. remember we celebrate this holiday to remember the humble birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

New Camera!
So now the fun can really begin! I have upgraded from my wonderful 35mm Nikon camera to a Nikon D80. It is such an awesome camera - I can't believe all the new things I can do with it. It is going to take me a long time to figure all of its features out. Now I have to play and practice and find out what I can do with it.
Last night we had our small group Christmas party at the beautiful Clark house. We had everyone all together with all the kids for a holiday food fest and a rousing game of White Elephant. :) Here are some of the highlights.
