We are in!

Ambassador Presbyterian Church (Apex, NC) has officially moved into our new church building.  The church has been meeting in public elementary schools for over 10 years and this past Sunday was the first service to be held in our very own church building.  It is a beautiful building and we are all so excited to have a permenant location.  But it is just a tool for us to spread the Gospel to our community.  We pray that the Lord uses the building and us (the real church!) to His glory.

I didn't take a lot of pictures on Sunday.  I believe there will be some more up on the church blog at some point so check that out.  But here is a picture of the sanctuary (sorry for the quality!) and a picture of Mike and I outside the building.

 

 

Church Move-In Day

Our church was allowed by the inspector to continue with move in today.  So there were lots of folks that came out to help unload and clean off furniture, office supplies, toys, etc.  We got everything unloaded and into the building in the morning.  We can not meet in the building quite yet as we are still awaiting our permanent CO.  So the prayer this week is that all the last minute projects get finished and we are able to have our 1st service next Sunday as scheduled!  Here are some pictures from the activities this morning.

 

  

 

Ambassador Presbyterian Groundbreaking

Our church has official broken ground for our new building this past Wednesday. This is a very exciting step for our church - about 11 years in the making! The ceremony consisted of prayer, words spoken by various people, the "official" groundbreaking and music. It was a sweet celebration on a beautiful evening.

Beach

I have decided that I want to move to the beach and live in a beach cottage. :) We had the APC woman's retreat this past weekend at Emerald Isle, NC. It was a lovely weekend - good weather, beautiful house, yummy food and good friends. Unfortunately, in my hurry to get out the door Friday afternoon, I forgot my camera. I was so sad because the weather was beautiful and I could have gotten some pretty shots.
Hopefully, I won't be so bad about updating as I have been the past few weeks!
