Our church has official broken ground for our new building this past Wednesday. This is a very exciting step for our church - about 11 years in the making! The ceremony consisted of prayer, words spoken by various people, the "official" groundbreaking and music. It was a sweet celebration on a beautiful evening.
I was asked to take pictures so here is the link to all the pictures if you wish to take a look. Soon we'll have some pictures of a building!

Flowers!
We don't have much of a yard - Mike and I do not have green thumbs. When it comes to the house we are all for it but ask us where to plant something and we'll look at you like you have 3 heads. Despite our lack of garden knowledge we have gotten a few things to grow - and they actually look nice. Here are some pictures from our front yard. :) One day we'll have a gorgeous yard.....

No More Basketball Hoop
Yesterday afternoon I got an idea of how to get rid of the basketball hoop in our driveway. I got this idea from a blog that I follow (and love!) - This Young House. They enlisted free labor from Craigslist to remove some bushes from their front lawn. The people just had to come and dig them up and they were their's free and clear. So I thought why can't I do that with our basketball hoop? I'm sure there is someone out there that would want a free basketball goal. Sure enough I was right. A LOT of people want a free basketball hoop. So this afternoon the first person that sent me a 2nd email got their free basketball hoop. However, the deal was for them to dig it out of the ground - my ambitious husband beat them to it so it was laying in the driveway when they pulled up. Bye bye big eye sore!

Wedding #1 of the year!
This past weekend Mike and I drove up to Pittsburgh and then subsequently Ohio for my cousin's wedding. We made the trek up Thursday night and arrived in Pittsburgh at 3 AM and very quickly crashed at my college roomate's house (Jenna - we didn't get any pictures together!). We hung out with her Friday and headed to East Liverpool Saturday morning for the wedding. Here are a few pictures from the wedding - I don't have many. Something is off in all the pictures I took so I need to go look at my camera and make sure everything is ok. But here are a few! :)
