Christmas Time is Here!

Thanksgiving is over - NOW we can start the Christmas celebrations. :) Mike and I got some of our decorations up over the weekend - required buying a few things that we didn't have last year. Garland for the mantel and 2 wreaths for our antique windows. The only thing left to get is a tree! We were planning on getting it today but the rain prevented that. No need to get a drenched tree and store it in the garage. Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny and dry and we can got pick one out then. I'll get some pictures up as soon as we do!

New Living Room

Well, not really - I just re-arranged it. I really do like it though! It makes the space feel so much bigger (and it hides the ugly dog cage). Here are some pictures - mostly to humor my sister. :)

New Backgrounds

I found this really great website for blog backgrounds. They have some really cute backgrounds which is great because I totally dislike the default backgrounds for blogger. And, they are super to set up. She has some other cute stuff (like Christmas cards) too - http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/.

Family Visit

This past weekend Mike's parents, sister and aunt came down to North Carolina to visit. The weekend trip was to celebrate Warner's 60th birthday! He knew he was coming to North Carolina but he had no idea that his sister, Barbara was flying in from New Mexico! That was his big birthday surprise - and they sure got him! Mike and I were also babysitting 2 dogs for friends. We had quite the house full! It made it even more fun and lively. :)

We had beautiful weather all weekend long - great fall weather with all the colorful trees around. We visited Jordan Lake and Lake Pine and enjoyed the outdoors. We also had a wonderful fancy Italian dinner on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon consisted of a family photo shoot since everyone was in one spot all at once - even Yankee got in the picture! :)
